Meditation

When we allow ourself to quiet our minds, our bodies begin to relax. When we are not thinking about what we need to do next, what we haven't done yet, or worrying about things that have not happened yet, our bodies begin to heal.

This constant worrying puts the body in a state of fight or flight signaling the adrenal glands to releases the hormone epinephrine. The release of chemical messengers results in the production of the hormone cortisol, which increases blood pressureblood sugar, and suppresses the immune system.

During our group meditation sessions, we slowly begin to train our minds to be quiet, breaking the excessive worrying pattern, and allowing our bodies to heal.
